Fatema Begum, a former additional inspector general of police, has recently joined Bangladesh Finance as its director. She will also work as a member of the audit committee of the non-bank financial institution, said a press release. As the very first woman officer, she joined Bangladesh Police in 1984 after completing her studies from the University of Dhaka.  “I am proud to join Bangladesh Finance as a director,” Fatema said, adding that she will contribute to the future success of the organisation. Manwar Hossain, chairman of Bangladesh Finance, welcomed the appointment of Fatema as a director.
